Achter Drcarlsonalbion gaat Earth-frontman Dylan Carlson, the doom metal innovator, schuil. Carlson was in Groot Brittannië vanwege researching folklore and faire folk of the British Isles. Daarop strandde hij in de Londense Southern Studios voor een exclusieve Latitudes sessie. Hij experimenteert met field recordings, past traditionele folksongs aan en neemt zelfs een PJ Harvey nummer onder handen met zijn typische drone sound. De gastvocalen zijn van Teresa Colamonaco.
