Neil Campbell is Astral Social Club. Samen met Richard Youngs en Matthew Bower heeft hij de post-punk underground in het Verenigd Koninkrijk in de jaren 80 en 90 ingekleurd. Grumbling Fur is vooral bekend van excentrieke long-form pop releases op Thrill Jockey en Aurora Borealis. Dat gaat goed samen met de vrije elektrische sound van ASC… layers electronics over haunting piano and vocal melody, framed by subliminal fuzz guitar.
