Nick Ferrio is een krachtige aanwezigheid in de Canadese folkscene. Hij bewijst op ‘Amongst The Coyotes…’ dat zelfs op een soloalbum de mooiste, ontroerendste duetten kunnen staan. Met Julie Doiron nam hij een prachtig partijtje op in een historisch art deco theater. De andere gasten zijn Tamara Lindeman (The Weather Station) en Steve Lambke van The Constantines. Negen catchy, beschaafde songs… sparse and gentle, with a slight psychedelic feel that brings the ’70 to mind.
