Toen Boadi in 1976 ongekend succes had met ‘Abrabo’ verliet hij Ghana om vervolgens het Amerikaanse publiek te veroveren. Dit debuut is opgenomen in Chicago. Een uitgebreid muziekpalet: funk, highlife, Afrobeat en reggae. Money Is The Root of Evil claims it’s own space as a musical melting pot and reflects the excitement Boadi was learning to harness as a musician in his newfound home of Chicago.
